TALKIATRY clinical recruitment

Crafting language that resonates with psychiatrists at every career stage

Psychiatrists recognize marketing jargon when they see it, so motivating them to join Talkiatry required a different approach than simply leading with the standard value props.

Writing for ads on LinkedIn, Reddit, Doximity, and Indeed, I focused on what doctors at different career stages actually needed to hear: Residents and fellows needed confidence. Early and mid-career psychiatrists needed to know that balance and fair compensation were possible. Veterans needed to trust that their autonomy would be respected. And every group needed to know that the practice was rooted in the realities of clinical work, co-founded by a triple-board-certified psychiatrist.

The results:

  • A two-month LinkedIn pilot generated 83K impressions and 3.5K clicks, with overall psychiatrist application velocity increasing during the window

  • Lead gen ads outperformed the previous year's SEM average cost per hire

  • On Doximity—the largest digital platform for healthcare professionals—engagement consistently met or exceeded platform benchmarks, with a 46% impression rate against a 33-43% benchmark and a 19% clickthrough rate
