Cure SMA was founded in 1984 as Families of SMA to help families navigate a diagnosis of spinal muscular atrophy, a serious and rare genetic disorder that typically develops in infancy.

After evolving into a research leader as well as a supportive community, the organization needed a powerful brand aligned with its bold vision and expertise, yet still reflective of its role as an irreplaceable resource for families.
